Partnering for Education

Instituto C&A is a non-profit organization of public interest that aims to promote and qualify the educational process of children and adolescents in Brazil. The Institute works through programs that support and execute projects considering social demands.

Through its programs, Instituto C&A establishes partnerships and alliances with other social organizations and government in developing projects.

Instituto C&A was founded on August 5, 1991, as an expression of the desire of C&A’s shareholders to implement a social investment policy in Brazil. One of the initiative’s premises was to focus on the field of child and adolescent education, as well as encourage the participation of C&A employees in a volunteering program.

Instituto C&A is maintained by the Cofra Foundation, an organization that’s responsible for the social investments of the Cofra Group, headquartered in Zug (Switzerland). Cofra Group is the controller of fashion retail chain C&A.


To promote the education of children and adolescents in communities where C&A does business, through alliances and strengthening of social organizations.
